Operating With Intention: Faith in Every Day Practice
February 24, 2026 • Las Vegas, Nevada
Physicians from across the country recently gathered in Las Vegas for a meaningful Fellowship of Christian Physicians luncheon and panel discussion called “Operating with Intention: Faith in Everyday Practice.”
The event brought together surgeons, industry professionals, spouses, and friends for an afternoon centered on faith, encouragement, and the unique calling of practicing medicine as followers of Christ.
During the discussion, attendees heard from a distinguished panel of foot and ankle surgeons share personal experiences, professional insights, and practical ways they seek to integrate their faith into everyday clinical practice.
The panel featured (left to right) Drs. Adrianne Ross, Justin Fleming (moderator), Sean Grambart, Ryan Rigby, and Matthew Sorensen.

Faith and Medicine: A Shared Calling
Medicine has long been a profession grounded in compassion, service, and a commitment to the well-being of others. For many Christian physicians, this work is more than a career—it is a calling.
The Fellowship of Christian Physicians exists to encourage doctors and surgeons to integrate their faith with their professional lives. Through gatherings like this one, physicians are reminded that they are not alone in navigating the challenges and responsibilities of caring for patients while seeking to honor Christ in their work.
Conversations throughout the gathering centered on topics such as:
-
-
- Maintaining spiritual grounding in a demanding profession
- Leading with humility and compassion in healthcare
- Supporting one another through fellowship and mentorship
- Viewing medical practice as both vocation and ministry
-
These discussions reflected a shared desire among physicians to practice medicine with excellence while remaining rooted in faith.

Insights From The Panel Discussion
One of the highlights of the gathering was hearing firsthand from physicians serving in different practice settings and leadership roles across the profession.
Panelists reflected on how faith influences their daily decision-making, interactions with patients, leadership responsibilities, and relationships with colleagues. They shared practical examples of what it looks like to pursue excellence in medicine while remaining intentional about living out their Christian convictions.
The conversation also explored the challenges physicians face in balancing professional demands, personal responsibilities, and spiritual growth. Throughout the discussion, attendees were encouraged to remain faithful in both the visible and unseen aspects of their calling.
The panel provided a thoughtful reminder that medicine offers countless opportunities to demonstrate compassion, integrity, humility, and Christ-centered leadership.
Building Community Among Christian Physicians
One of the most meaningful aspects of the gathering was the opportunity for fellowship. Many physicians spoke about how encouraging it was to connect with colleagues who share similar convictions and experiences.
Medicine can often be isolating, and gatherings like this provide a space where physicians can:
-
-
- Encourage one another
- Share experiences from practice
- Pray together
- Build lasting relationships within the profession
-
For many attendees, the time together served as a reminder that God is at work not only in their patients’ lives, but also within the community of physicians seeking to serve faithfully.
Looking Ahead
The Fellowship of Christian Physicians continues to grow as more doctors and surgeons seek meaningful ways to integrate their faith with their work in medicine. Future gatherings, virtual conversations, and opportunities for fellowship will continue to provide spaces where Christian physicians can connect, grow spiritually, and support one another in their calling.
